The Soviet Bloc
NYC Subway

Located deep in the heart of India, the Soviet Bloc is a forboding place. To enter, prepare yourself by eating an ice-cold kulfi and learning the local dialect. Once inside, keep your eyes sharp and watch for trains. The communists are everywhere, and although the familiar names of Revs and Sane are present, you are not safe. We went down a level into the four-track layup where R46 G trains slumber between their days of travelling between India, Downtown Brooklyn, Poland, and China. Watch out for the contact shoes; they're still energized. The back of the yard yielded evidence of Soviet activty, while the stairs led to a hatch to whoknowswhere. Some may say that the Soviet threat is over, but this find shows how real the situation really is. Props to Soph and Pro-Zak of The Urban New Yorker for being the first UE ambassadors to this location.
