Fulton Fish Market
New York, NY

For over a Century, the Fulton Fish Market supplied New York City's restaurants and local markets with high-quality seafood. Being a night market, trucks from all over the country line up on South St. every weekday night at 5pm. Unloading begins at 9:30pm and the market opens around 11pm. Business occurs between 11pm and 7:30am the following day. By 8am, cleanup is underway and it's closing time. However, closing time for good is March 2005, where the market will leave it's historic location in Downtown Manhattan and move to industrial Hunt's Point in the Bronx. Here's a final look at market much the way it looked for the past sentury (save for newer trucks and forklifts).
